Creators are interpreting the soft and elegant trend in their own unique ways and sharing them online for a wide audience to see.

These looks are even being created on YouTube! Beabadoobee’s latest released music video to the song ‘the way things go’ features a ballerina core and the use of silk ribbon to partake in the latest coquette trend. Beabadoobee’s songs have been constantly viral on TikTok, so this music video generated a lot of buzz and inspiration for the look.

Designer Alexander Wang used staple menswear pieces and sharp, flared silhouettes at his Resort 2024 show, held in October 2023, styling oversized collared coats and relaxed pants. These looks bring a traditional yet challenging idea to menswear by stylishly preserving masculinity.
It is crucial to note the repeating color pallet in this collection to provide a structured sense of cohesion to these looks. These looks are practical and complimentary. The frequent use of shiny accessories hanging from belt loops in these looks can mimic coins, reflecting wealth and polished success.
Accessories are used in these looks to remix the traditional idea of menswear. While these looks still are practical, we see Alexander Wang taking risks to redefine menswear. You can also begin to notice a pattern of blue and dark grey tones throughout this Resort 2024 collection.
Did you notice the detail on that crossbody bag? Launched in 2009, Alexander Wang’s current collection features the Rocco bag as its main attraction.
The flashy accessory is elegantly paired with a black tank adorned with subtle dark grey lining. This look is especially eye-catching because it provides us with structured khakis, a staple menswear piece, topped off with shiny silver accessories. It is also important the challenging gaze on the model that sets the mood of the look. This look is bold and redefining.
We are now met with an intriguing menswear look that keeps Alexander Wang’s transformative theme. The snake green belt, featuring a captivating silver clasp, demands immediate attention with its exceptional and striking presence. The staple pieces in this look are muted, yet significant to pull off a traditional menswear theme. This look pulls off a masculine and daring look that is seemingly effortless.
